Senior Championship: Our senior championship campaign got underway on Saturday evening last in poor weather conditions in Ardagh against Ballymahon. A last minute, long range point from Eoin Keane rescued a deserved draw for us leaving the scoreline 1-9 apiece at full time. We started the match the brightest, racing into a 1-2 to no-score lead, with Petie Collum tucking away a lovely goal. However, Ballymahon came storming back and just before half time they struck for a crucial goal and they went in at the break 1-6 to 1-3 ahead. Our lads battled tremendously hard in the second half and deserve great credit for coming back to earn the draw. The next match is against Colmcille, this Sunday at 6pm in Clonguish. Please come out and show your support. Thank you to Séamus Gallagher for providing refreshments for the squad afterwards. The team and scorers were as follows:
