The Lotto draw was held last Monday, December 2nd in Quinn’s Bar, Drumlish. The Jackpot was €18,800.

Annual General Meeting

 

This year’s AGM takes place this Saturday, December 14th at 9pm in the clubhouse in Monaduff. All welcome

 

Annual Christmas Quiz

Our Christmas Quiz is back again this year and will take place in Cassidy’s Olde Village Inn, on Friday night, December 27th at 9pm

 

Dinner Dance

The Dinner Dance takes place on Saturday night, January 18th in Lough Rynn where the victorious Intermediate team will be presented with their championship medals. Tickets are €35 and are available from Betty Creegan. Music on the night by Nite Fever and there will be a special guest for the presentation.

 

Longford

 

Well done to Paddy Collum and the Longford team and management on their win against Kildare at the weekend. Best of luck in the next round this Saturday at home to Carlow.

Lotto:The lotto draw was held in O’Reilly’s Bar, Drumlish on Monday last, January 7th. The Jackpot was €14,200. Results are currently on the club website and will be published in next week’s notes. Tickets are available from the usual outlets and from any member of the executive. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our lotto.

Longford Seniors: Well done to Paddy Collum, Pauric Gill, manager Padraic Davis, and backroom team members Ian Higgins and Gordon Smyth on Longford’s draw with Louth which ensured their passage to the O’Byrne Cup semi final. We wish the lads the best of luck against Westmeath this Saturday.

National Club Draw: The National Club Draw tickets are back on sale again this year and this great initiative by the GAA has helped contribute vital funds to our club for the past number of years. There is a new prize for participating clubs whereby there is a chance to play a club championship match in Croke Park. Individual prizes include: A brand new Renault Clio 4 Expression; a €2,000 travel voucher; All Ireland Hurling & Football packages; various shopping vouchers and many more. Details of each prize available are on each ticket. Tickets cost €10 and can be bought from any member of the Gaels squad. As always, your support is greatly appreciated.

Club Membership: Club Membership for the forthcoming year is now available. The cost is €30 for adults and €15 for students. Membership is required for all playing members and for use of the gym. Membership entitles you to attend monthly club meetings and if received before March 31st, entitles you to a vote at next year’s AGM and entry into the draw for All Ireland tickets. Drug Alcohol and Cyber Security Awareness: Fr. Manning Gaels and St Vincent’s are hosting an information evening on Drug, Alcohol and Cyber Security Awareness on Friday, January 18th  in Monaduff from 7.30pm to 9.30pm. This promises to be a very informative evening given by professionals. Every parent and child should know about the disease of addiction. Substances have a physical and behavioural impact on individuals and families. You will also learn about the basic cyber security tips to protect you and your family. It is open to the wider Community, parents and children of secondary school age and up. All welcome so please come and join us. This is a free event, there will be a question and answer session and also light refreshments.
