Minor News – 02-09-2018

St Vincents Minor Football Club – Congratulations to Seamus Kane who was the winner of our All Ireland Football Final Draw!  
Thank you Ken Leonard & Sinead Heaney who printed our sponsorship cards, to Centra Drumlish & Costcutter Drumlish for accommodating our Committee on Saturday, and to all local businesses & everyone who supported our draw, as always it’s very much appreciated!

Congratulations & Best Wishes  to Pauric Davis on his appointment as Longford County Manager.
Sincere Sympathies to the Kane Family, Drumlish, on the death of Michael Kane who recently passed away. May he Rest in Peace.

Latest News – 02-09-2018

Championship Fixtures: This weekend is a massive couple of days for the club. We are in the semi-final of the Intermediate Championship against Rathcline at 5pm in Pearse Park on Saturday the 8th. Similarly, our Junior team are in the semi-final of the championship where they are facing Killoe at 2pm on Sunday the 9th in Pearse Park. We would like to wish the respective management teams and panel of players the very best of luck and urge all supporters to be there to cheer on the lads.

Michael Moran League Division 2: On Wednesday evening last we played Seán Connolly’s in Monaduff in the final round of the Division 2 league. Neither side had anything to play for only pride and in the end we secured a 0-13 to 1-5 victory. The team and scorers were as follows:

Paddy Collum, Aaron McGee (0-1), Dan Gorman, Emmet Noonan, Mark Duffy, Dylan Quinn, Mark Hughes, Liam Lynch, David Collum, Ciarán Cooney, Diarmuid Cooney, Anthony Kane (0-1), Martin Cassidy (0-5, 3f), Gary Connell (0-2), Dean Cosgrave (0-4)

Lotto: The Lotto draw was held last Monday, August 27th , in Gallagher’s Bar, Drumlish. The Jackpot was €12,400. The numbers drawn were as follows:

Longford Senior Management: Congratulations to club and county legend Padraic Davis on being put forward for ratification as Longford senior football manager. Padraic is the first man from the club to hold this position and we are in no doubt that he will be just as successful in inter-county management as he was as a player. Everyone at the club is proud of this achievement and wishes Padraic the very best of luck.

Minor News – 01-07-2018

St Vincents Minor Football Club –

St Vincents Minor Football Club were one of the Winners of the Beko Leinster GAA Club Competition. Our Committee Members, Colin Crowe & JP Murphy were presented with GAA equipment to the value of €1,500 at the Leinster Final. Thanks to everyone in the Club for their work in achieving this, with special thanks to Enda McGahern for his great work on the application.

Family Fun Day – rescheduled for Saturday 21st July 2018 from 12noon to 4pm in Monaduff GAA Grounds.  We will have blitz’s for U-8 and U-10 and the annual Parish League for u-12 and u-14.  We will also have bouncing castles and face painting and lots more activities – Guaranteed  Fun on the day.  Please note this is a Fundraising event and your support would be greatly appreciated so we look forward to see.
Cul Camps – there are still places availalbe in Monaduff – 6th – 10th Aug. Booking can be done online. Book early to avoid disappointment.
