Annual Christmas Quiz
Our annual Christmas table quiz was held in The Olde Village Inn, Drumlish on Friday last, December 27th. Another great night’s entertainment was had by all. In first place was the Gill team of Marie, Joseph and Pauric Gill; in second place were John & Mary Breslin’s team and in third was Séamus Hannon, James Bennet and Conor & Niall Farrell. Thank you to all three teams who kindly donated their prize money back to the club. Thank you to Tom Cassidy and all the staff at the Village Inn for the use of the premises and their hospitality. Thank you to Lorraine Corrigan for the difficult task of setting 100 questions (Do you know what a Deltiologist collects?); Séamus Gallagher for doing MC on the night along with Bridie Reilly reading the questions; Von Corrigan, Betty Creegan, Pauline Corr for collecting and correcting all the answer sheets and helping out. Thank you to all who kindly sponsored the raffle prizes. Finally, thank you to all who came and took part and bought raffle tickets. Without all this work and support, the event would not be the success it continues to be every year and we look forward to it again next year.
Dinner Dance
The Dinner Dance takes place in Lough Rynn Hotel on Saturday January 18th, with presentation of medals to the Intermediate Team and presentations to St Vincent’s and St Helen’s Players. Tickets cost €35 and are now on sale until Wednesday 15th of January and can be purchased from Betty Creegan, Seamus Gallagher, or Lorraine Corrigan. Dinner will be served at 8pm followed with music by Nite Fever. No tickets will be sold on the night
Club Meeting
The first club meeting of 2020 takes place this Thursday at 9pm in Monaduff. All club members are welcome to attend
National Club Draw
The National Club Draw tickets are back on sale again this year and this great initiative by the GAA has helped contribute vital funds to our club for the past number of years. Individual prizes include: A brand new Renault Clio; a €2,000 travel voucher; All Ireland Hurling & Football packages; various shopping vouchers and many more. Details of each prize available are on each ticket. Tickets cost €10 and can be bought from any member of the Gaels squad. As always, your support is greatly appreciated.

Club Membership
Club Membership for the forthcoming year is now available. The cost is €30 for adults and €15 for students. Membership is required for all playing members and for use of the gym. Membership entitles you to attend monthly club meetings and if received before March 31st, entitles you to a vote at next year’s AGM and entry into the draw for All Ireland tickets. Leinster Club Championship
Well done to Jack Lynn and the team on an excellent one point victory over O’Hanrahan’s of Carlow on Sunday. The team done extremely well do hold out for a 1-10 to 0-12 win. Aaron Quinn got our all important goal near the end of the first half when he intercepted a short kick out and powered his way through, blasting the ball to the roof of the net. Our next outing is against Rosenallis of Laois on Saturday, November 9th in Pearse Park. The team and scorers were as follows:

Leinster Club Championship
The first round of the Leinster club Championship takes place this Sunday, October 27th in Dr. Cullen Park, Carlow against the Carlow champions at 1pm. Best of luck to Jack and the team and we hope to see a good crowd down to support the lads.
Patsy Reilly Cup Final
On Friday evening last we were well defeated by Granard in the Patsy Reilly Cup final on a scoreline of 1-16 to 1-4. Short a number of regulars we were always chasing the game having fell 1-4 to no score down early on. A penalty from Paddy Collum after Pauric Gill was brought down helped close the gap mid way through the first half but Granard pushed on for a deserved win. The team and scorers were as follows:

Well done to Clonguish and our own Paddy Collum who won their Leinster championship match agains Bardarrig of Wickow at the weekend.
Recent Fixtures
We received the points from Grattan Óg in the last round of the ACFL Division 2 league which means we finish in second place. We now await the conclusion of Divison 1 to see who finishes second fom bottom there where we then play in a promotion/relegation play off.
In the last round of the junior championship last week, we received the points from Granard. This now concludes the season for the juniors. Thank you to Anthony McKeon and the the squad for the effort they put in all year

The Marquee In Drumlish
Our 10th Annual Marquee in Drumlish Festival was held last weekend and we would like to thank everyone involved for helping make it such a tremendous success. Thank you to the artists who provided such wonderful entertainment on each of the 4 nights. Thank you to the Gray family for the use of the Old School site. Thank you to the many volunteers who worked in the preparation of the site and over the course of the weekend. There were many early starts and late finishes but your hard work paid off and is greatly appreciated. Thanks to all those who helped run the Monster Bingo in Ballinamuck on Sunday and to those who ran the youth event in the Marquee on Saturday afternoon. Thanks to the Order of Malta, Civil Defence and An Garda Síochána for their tireless work also.

The Marquee In Drumlish – Monster Bingo
The 10th Annual Marquee Monster Bingo in conjunction with the Marquee in Drumlish, was held on Sunday August 18th in the ’98 Hall Ballinamuck. This year it was in aid of ‘Meals on Wheels Longford’. The Marquee Bingo Committee would like to thank everyone who sponsored prizes for the raffle, gave donations and bought bingo books. Thanks also to the ‘98 Hall Committee for the use of the hall, FÁS who prepared the hall and having it looking so well on the day, Ballinamuck Bingo Committee for their support and all the other people who helped on the day selling raffle tickets etc, the Longford Leader for promoting the event, not forgetting Johnny Cooney and Tommy McVeigh for co-ordinating the traffic. On behalf of the committee and Fr. Manning Gaels, we thank you most sincerely. The event was a huge success and enjoyed by everyone. The Club appreciates your generosity and continued support to Fr.
