Senior: Our senior team beat Ardagh/Moydow in the Patsy Reilly cup on a scoreline of 0-12 to 0 -6 last weekend. We now play Ballymore in the final so check fixtures for details and we look forward to your support.

Marquee Festival: The club wishes to thank all involved in making the festival another massive success. Thanks to the organising committee, the entertainers, the countless number of stewards, bar staff and cleaners  who turn out each night, the local media for their excellent coverage of the event, the various local business people, sponsors and organisations and above all the people from all parts of the country and abroad who continue to support the festival each year and help to make it the wonderful occasion that it is. Well done to all.

St. Vincent’s: Our Fun Day takes place Saturday 3rd. September  in Monaduff  from 12pm to 4pm. We guarantee lots of football and fun. We will have blitz’s for u-8’s and u-10’s and the annual parish league for u-12’s and u-14’s. We will also have bouncing castles, face painting, Mr &  Mrs Marquee and lots more activities. Come along and enjoy the fun.

Meetings. The club is holding an executive meeting on Thursday night 1st. Sept. at 8.30 followed by a club meeting at 9.30.

Senior Championship.  Our senior team had mixed fortunes in the championship last week. On Tuesday we produced a spirited second half performance to defeat Ratchline 1-13 to 1-12. Then on Sunday afternoon we were well beaten by Mostrim on a scoreline of 2-16 to 1-3. We have one game left to play in the group which is against Carrickedmond on Sunday at 2 o’clock in Ballinalee.

Good luck: Best of luck to Paddy Collum who has left for a stint in the USA. Hope to see him back in the club colours soon.

Marquee Festival: Its nearly that time of year again where all roads lead to Drumlish for the ”Marquee in Drumlish Festival”. It starts on Friday night the 19th of August with the Knights of Leon – tribute band to the Kings of Leon, Brave Giant followed by DJ Fergal D’Arcy. On Saturday night the Marquee goes country with Gerry Guthrie and Nathan Carter. On Sunday night we will have Top Shelf, Rhythm & Sticks, The Stunning and the Aftermath. And Finally on Monday night we will have the Declan Nerney and Friends night. Declan will be joined by many great acts including Big Tom, Una Healy, Johnny Brady, Robert Mizzell and many more. There will be a late bar every night till 2pm, each night the show will be starting at 9pm. Tickets will be available on the door. On the Saturday from 2pm we will have a Family Fun Day in Monaduff for everyone to come out and enjoy. Attractions on the day will include the Parish League, Bouncing Castles, Face Painting and much much more. Admission on the day will be free and a great days entertainment for the kids is guaranteed. On Sunday, it’s out to Ballinamuck for the Annual Marquee Monster Bingo in the 98 Memorial Hall. This will start at 3pm. Great Prize money on the day and all proceeds from this Bingo will be going to St Christopher’s in Longford. More details can be found on www.themarqueeindrumlish.ie.
