Lotto The Lotto draw was held last Monday, July 8th, in The Village Inn, Drumlish. The Jackpot was €16,800. Results are currently available on the club website and will be published in next week’s notes. Tickets are available from the usual outlets and from any member of the executive. On lotto duty this weekend are Eileen and Jimmy Kane. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our lotto. ACFL Division 2 We played Ballymore in the league last Friday evening and emerged with a win on a scoreline of 3-11 to 2-12. The team and scorers were as follows: Paddy Collum (0-2, 2 ’45), Cian Brady, Liam Lynch, Derek McCormack, Conor Keenan, Emmet Noonan, Mark Hughes, David Collum, Seán Whelan, David Collum, Dean Cosgrave (0-1), Pauric Gill (1-3), Darren Farley, Anthony Kane, Martin Cassidy (2-3, 3f), Kevin Whelan (0-1). Subs used: Eoin Keane (0-1), Aaron McGee, Ryan Crowe, Cian Cassidy Upcoming Fixtures We play Granard in the Division 2 league this Saturday, July 13th,  in Higginstown at 7pm. This evening, Wednesday, our juniors play Killoe in the John Gilmore Cup (Division 3 cup competition) semi-final at 8pm in Clonee. We also extend sincere sympathy to the Collum family, Lettergullion, on the passing of Bridgie Collum (Grandmother to players David and Paddy) The Marquee In Drumlish – August 16th to 19th This year we are celebrating a decade of The Marquee In Drumlish Festival and we have a fantastic line up to ensure another entertaining weekend. On Friday we have Top Shelf, DJ Fergal D’Arcy and our own Brave Giant are back to headline the night. On Saturday night we have Matthew O’Donnell, Robert Mizzell and Derek Ryan. On Sunday night there is the excellent Qween – Queen Tribute show, The 4 of Us and local lads Cronin are back to entertain us into the early hours. Monday night is the main event – The Declan Nerney Night, which is sure to finish off another terrific festival in style. MONSTER BINGO: St Vincents Minor Club are holding our Annual Bingo Fundraiser on Sunday 14th April 2019 @ 3pm,  in the ’98 Memorial Hall, Ballinamuck.  €2,500 to be won in prize money and Easter Eggs to be won on every page.  There will also be a monster raffle on the day.  The Minor Club caters for Nursery Children up to age 17/18 years of age and support from our players Parents, Families & Friends is appreciated.

This Saturday is a big day for the club as our lads face Rosenallis of Laois at 1.30pm in Pearse Park in the Leinster Quarter Final. Please come out and support the lads

Patsy Reilly Cup

We are playing Ardagh/Moydow this Friday evening in the semi final of the Patsy Reilly Cup. Keep an eye on the fixtures for throw in time and venue. Best of luck to Jack and the team

Sympathy

The club was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of one of our great supporters, Joe Caldwell, last week. Joe loved the Gaels and the interview with him in the 2008 history book summed up how much this club meant to him. We extend our deepest sympathy to Joe’s family and friends.  Solas na bhFlaitheas air.

Well Wishes

The club wishes Mike Mulleady a speedy recovery after his operation last week as a result of an injury sustained playing for the club.

U20 Championship

We received the points from Ardagh/Moydow last Saturday in the first round of the championship. We play Northern Gaels in the next round this Sunday, October 13th at 1pm in Mullinalaghta. Best of luck to manager Paddy Collum and the team

Thank You

With the celebrations finally over the club would like to thank the people of the parish for their great support throughout the year and a big thank you to all the publicans,  who had such great welcomes for us over the past week. Thank you to the schools, crèches and nursing homes for the welcomes also. A special word of thanks to John Farley and Darren Quinn who so kindly sponsored food and drink for the players last week.

Senior Champions

Well done to our neighbours Killoe on winning the Connolly Cup on Sunday. Commiserations to Longford Slashers. We wish Killoe all the best in their Leinster campaign

Hurling Final

Best of luck to our neighbours Clonguish in the senior hurling final this Sunday, and in particular our own dual star Paddy Collum. Throw in is at 3.30pm in Pearse Park.
