National Club Draw: The National Club Draw tickets are back on sale again this year and this great initiative by the GAA has helped contribute vital funds to our club for the past number of years. There is a new prize for participating clubs whereby there is a chance to play a club championship match in Croke Park. Individual prizes include: A brand new Renault Clio 4 Expression; a €2,000 travel voucher; All Ireland Hurling & Football packages; various shopping vouchers and many more. Details of each prize available are on each ticket. Tickets cost €10 and can be bought from any member of the Gaels squad. As always, your support is greatly appreciated. Club Membership: Club Membership for the forthcoming year is now available. The cost is €30 for adults and €15 for students. Membership is required for all playing members and for use of the gym. Membership entitles you to attend monthly club meetings and if received before March 31^st, entitles you to a vote at next year’s AGM and entry into the draw for All Ireland tickets. Longford Seniors: Best of luck to Longford in the first round of the National League next Sunday away to Louth, particularly our representatives Paddy Collum and Pauric Gill along with manager Padraic Davis and backroom team members Gordon Smyth and Ian Higgins. Drug, Alcohol and Cyber Security Awareness: Our Health & Wellbeing information event was held on Friday night in Monaduff and it was a great success. A big thank you to our two speakers, Enda McGahern and Seamus Hughes who gave a very detailed power point presentation on the topics of alcohol, drugs and cyber security. This is a positive start to our Health and Wellbeing program. Feedback on the event was very positive and encouraging with more to come. Thank you to the parents and young people who attended. Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust: The McGee family, with the assistance of the County Longford Association of New York, are hosting a fundraiser to benefit the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust who so kindly assisted during the tragic loss of their son Danny in November last. The fundraiser will take place on Saturday February 9th at John Sullivan’s Pub and Restaurant 2010 W 35th Street, New York from 5pm until 11pm. County Championship: Congratulations to Mullinalaghta on winning the senior championship for the third year in a row. Well done to Rathcline on winning the intermediate final. We wish both sides, as well as Ardagh/Moydow, the best of luck as they go forward to represent the county in their respective provincial competitions.

Schools Coaching: Vacancies are available for anyone who is willing to assist with football coaching in Drumlish and Ballinamuck national schools. If interested please contact Colin Crowe.

Scór: This year is the 50^th anniversary of Scór and the club would like to participate in as many categories as possible this year to mark the occasion. Scór represents an important part of the GAA in terms of our heritage and culture and the club has a proud history in this competition. Patsy Reilly Cup: We had thought our year was over after our defeat in the championship but the withdrawal of Cashel from the Patsy Reilly Cup has meant that we now are in the semi-final this Saturday, October 27^th away to Carrickedmond at 4pm. Best of luck to the team and management

Challenge Match: The team had a useful challenge match on Friday night last in Monaduff in preparation for the Carrickedmond match against Granard. Granard ran out winners 3-12 to 3-10. Our team was as follows:

Monthly Meeting: Our monthly Executive meeting takes place this Thursday, October 25^th at 8.30pm in Monaduff. All members of the Executive are requested to attend. This will be followed by a club meeting at 9.30pm where all club members are invited to attend.

Pitch Work: Work on the upgrading on the training pitch is progressing well thanks to the spell of relatively good weather we have had lately. Please see the club website for photos of the work carried out to date.
