Intermediate Championship
We had a good hard-fought win over Ballymore last Sunday in the championship. The final score was 2-7 to 1-6. We led at half-time 1-4 to 0-1, with the goal coming from Cian Cassidy just before the whistle. Paddy Collum had earlier brilliantly saved a penalty. Ballymore came back in the second half and reduced the margin to a point with time running out. Pauric Gill finished to the net after Cian Cassidy cut through and squared the ball and the same players combined for a point shortly after to secure a very important win. Team and scorers: Paddy Collum, Paul McGee, Darren Reilly, Aaron Quinn, Kaelum Gill, JP Farley, Dean Cosgrave, Mark Breslin, Sean Whelan, Jamie Nertney (0-1), Cathal Quinn (0-1), Mark Hughes, Cian Cassidy (1-3), Pauric Gill (1-0), Conor Keenan (0-2). Subs: Cian Brady, David Collum. The next round is this Sunday against Ardagh Moydow in Michael Fay Park at 4pm. Best of luck to the team and management.

Intermediate Championship
The championship got off to a disappointing start on Friday evening last when we were defeated by Killashee 2-10 to 1-11. The team raced into a 0-6 to 0-1 lead after 15 minutes but it was all Killashee after that, and they kicked 1-7 without reply to lead 1-8 to 0-6 at the break. The second half was a different game and Gaels immediately responded with a Pauric Gill goal after a neat one-two with Conor Keenan. With Sean Whelan in great form in midfield Gaels eventually went two points clear, before conceding a sloppy goal with ten to go. Gaels kept trying for the equaliser and one last effort dropped short from which Killashee countered for the insurance point. The next outing is Sunday week against Ballymore. Team and scorers were as follows: Paddy Collum, Cian Brady, JP Farley, Paul McGee, Dean Cosgrave, Darren Reilly, Kaelum Gill, Sean Whelan, Mark Breslin, Jamie Nertney (0-2), Fergal Reilly, Conor Keenan (0-2), Martin Cassidy (0-3, 1f), Pauric Gill (1-2), Cian Cassidy (0-2). Subs: Mark Hughes, Aaron Quinn, Cathal Quinn. The Division 5 team received the points from Mostrim on Wednesday evening last.
