Longford Team 2000-2020

Congratulations to Colin Hannify (Right Wing Back). David Hannify (Midfield) and Padraic Davis (Left Corner Forward) on their selection on the best Longford team of the past 20 years. Well done also to our other nominees Paddy Collum (Goalkeeper), Paul McCormack (Right Corner Back), Martin Mulleady (Right Wing Back) and Frank McNamee (Centre Half Back) who all came second place in their respective positions. The club is very proud of all seven men. The selection of brothers Colin and David Hannify is particularly noteworthy as it means three generations of the Hannify family are represented on the All-Time great Longford teams after Jim Senior and Jimmy Junior were selected on the Longford Team of the Millenium. An incredible feat.

Sympathy

Everyone at the club was very saddened to learn of the sudden passing of Mickey Phillips. Mickey always supported the club since coming to Drumlish, particularly with helping us out when it came to fundraisers and umpiring in Monaduff. He will be sadly missed by all. We extend our sincere condolences to his family and friends. The club also extends sympathy to the family and friends of Kathleen Toole (Derawley) and Pat Kane (formerly Esker North) who both passed away recently. Solas na bhFlaitheas orthu.
