Dublin Final
There was a local link to last Sunday’s Dublin county final with Mark McNamee playing in goals for Ballyboden. Mark is a son of club and county legend Frank McNamee. Unfortunately, the result didn’t go Ballyboden’s way but a bright future certainly lies ahead for Mark.
Sympathy
The club extends its sincere sympathy to Joe Prunty (New York) and the Prunty family, Ballincurry, on the recent passing of Joe’s sister Angela Macken. Solas na bhFlaitheas uirthi
Senior Championship
Pride of place goes to our senior team and management who pulled off a terrific 1-12 to 0-12 victory in the championship over Carrickedmond on Friday evening last. Sympathy
The club extends sympathy to the families and friends of Eva Dooner (Rooskey, sister of Phil Hagan, Kilnashee), Des Cole (UK, late of Gaigue), John Campbell (UK, late of Clonaugh) and Patrick Reilly (Abbeylara, brother of Mary Mimnagh, Drumlish). Everyone at the club was saddened to learn of the passing of Eileen Cooney last week. We extend our deepest sympathy to Minor Club President Johnny and sons Ciarán, Seán and Diarmuid, who all have contributed so much to this club on and off the field, and to the wider Cooney and Brady families and large circle of friends. It was also with great regret that we heard of the passing of two former players recently; Frank McVeigh, Fardromin and Charlie Shivnen, Mohill (who played whilst stationed as a Garda in Drumlish in the late 60s/early 70s). We extend our deepest condolences to their respective families and friends. Solas na bhFlaitheas orthu go léir.
