National League
Best of luck to Paddy Collum and the Longford team and management as they travel to Derry to play the home side in the national league this weekend.
Senior Championship
On Sunday afternoon last we played Longford Slashers in the senior championship quarter final. We were defeated on a score-line of 1-9 to 1-7. Having been defeated by Slashers by 14 points in the first round, the team performed admirably. We were unlucky not to emerge victorious after Pauric Gill was fouled for a penalty and Martin Cassidy converted in the closing stages but the team as a whole gave it everything and the club is very proud of all involved. Thank you once again to Mike and Martin Mulleady for sponsoring lovely jackets for the team and management. This is greatly appreciated by all
Junior Championship
Our Junior team bowed out of the championship last week as a result of Longford Slashers’ victory over Granard. Thank you to Darren Smith and Graham Lee and the team for their effort throughout the year
Sympathy
The club extends sympathy to the family and friends of Mary Kenny (née McLoughlin, formerly Shanmullagh) who passed away in the USA recently. Solas na bhFlaitheas uirthi.
