The late JP Corrigan – A Tribute: It was with great sadness that the news of JP Corrigan’s untimely passing was met on Friday last. JP was a larger than life character in our club and he will be sorely missed by all. The highlight of his playing career came in 1974 when the Gaels captured a unique treble of the Junior Championship, Junior League and Intermediate League and followed this up in 1975 with the Intermediate Championship. A life-changing accident a year later cut JP’s promising football career short, however, this never dampened his spirits and he was one of the club’s most loyal and ardent supporters. A true Gael, JP had been life President of St. Vincent’s minor club for a long number of years. To the Corrigan family and JP’s large circle of friends we extend our deepest sympathies. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
