Our Club: The Fr Manning Gaels Story 

On Thursday evening October 24th at 7pm in Monaduff clubrooms Fr Manning Gaels is launching a history of the club. Uachtarán CLG Jarlath Burns is the special guest for the release of “Our Club: The Fr Manning Gaels Story – A 135 Year History of Gaelic Games in Drumlish & Ballinamuck”. Written by Pauric Gill, the book is 700 pages and contains hundreds of photographs and chronicles the club’s journey from 1889 until 2023. It also looks at St Vincents, St Helens, Scór, and our players and officials on the intercounty stage. We look forward to seeing all our supporters there for what promises to be a great evening. The book costs €50.

Intermediate Championship 

Well done to Niall, Sean, Graham, Liam and the lads on a hard-fought 0-17 to 2-6 win over Ballymore in the championship semi-final on Sunday last. Trailing 2-2 to 0-4 early on, the lads done well to battle back and emerge victorious. We now face Sean Connollys in the final in a fortnight’s time. The team and scorers were as follows: Paddy Collum; Kaelum Gill, Aaron Quinn, Paul McGee; Dean Cosgrave, JP Farley, Mark Hughes, Mark Breslin, Sean Whelan; David Collum (0-1), Conor Keenan (0-6), Jamie Nertney (0-2); Cian Cassidy (0-2), Pauric Gill (0-4), Martin Cassidy (0-2, 1f). Subs: Darren Reilly, Ryan Crowe, Kevin Whelan 

Lotto 

The lotto draw took place in O’Reilly’s Bar, Drumlish on Monday last, September 30th. The Jackpot was €19,400. The numbers drawn were as follows:

St Helens 

Well done to St Helens and their management team James McCann, Adnan Moran and Paul Dowler on winning the Junior B Championship on Sunday. They defeated Rathcline on a 6-10 to 2-7 scoreline.

Oskars Launch Night 

Thank you to everyone who came to the Oskars Launch Night in The Mill Bar last Friday. It was a great success as everyone found out which part they will be playing. Thank you to Owen and Caroline for hosting the event, providing refreshments and having the place looking like Hollywood!
