Super8s Blitz
On Friday we kicked off our very first u8 “Super8s Blitz” with 45 boys and girls in the parish togged out in Dublin, Galway, Monaghan and Tyrone colours. Every team played each other with some great skills on show and it was a very enjoyable evening. The Blitz will run for the next three Fridays from 6.30 to 7.30 in Monaduff but keep an eye out for updates. We want to thank our kind sponsors Kiernans Centra, McKeon Tyres, Mulleady Longford Precast, ABC Childcare and McGahern Consulting. Thanks also to Edit Print, Longford for a great job on the tops and sign. More info in the coming weeks.
GAA Nursery
On Saturday, we had a finishing up party for the GAA Nursery Program, which was in its second year. During the year, a total of 50 boys and girls came to the Astro Turf on Saturday mornings which was great to see so we want to thank the coaches & helpers for their hard work and to the parents for bringing their children out. Everyone recieved an achievement certificate and we will be following up with those who were absent on Saturday. Finally, We want to wish the 2012 born boys and girls all the best where they will move up to the u8 squad next year and continue on their football journey.
U12
Our u12s have reached the Div3 Shield Final where they will play Clonbroney on Saturday at 1pm in Pearse Park. We wish Declan, Michael, Micheal and players the best of luck and hope to see a good crowd out in support.
U10s have a blitz on Wednesday in Ballinallee. They have also started a GAA skills challenge that will run for the next few weeks at their training sessions and there is very stiff competition indeed. Well done to Paul, Colin and Gearoid for this initiative.
