Senior Team

Our senior team had two good outings last week in preparation for the upcoming league. On Wednesday evening last we travelled up to Multyfarnham to play Declan Rowley’s side and on Saturday we played our first match on the new pitch against Annaduff. We thank both teams for the sporting, competitive matches and wish them the best of luck for the season. We play Longford Slashers in Michael Fay Park this Saturday, June 19th in the first round of the Division 1 League at 7pm. Best of luck to Jack Lynn, Niall Mulleady, Dessie Connell, Graham Lee and the squad.

Junior Team

Our junior team were due to play Dromard on Sunday morning last but this was postponed as a mark of respect for the late Cian Gray, Dromard. Everyone at Fr. Manning Gaels extends their deepest sympathy to the Gray family and friends and Dromard GAA on Cian’s very sad passing. Solas na bhFlaitheas air. The juniors play in the Division 4 league this evening Wednesday, June 16th at 7.30pm in Edgeworthstown against Mostrim. Best of luck to the team and management.

Lotto

Our lotto draw was held on Monday last, June 14th. The Jackpot was €2,600. Results are available on the club’s social media and will be published in next week’s notes. BBQ Draw

Congratulations to our recent lotto jackpot winner Kathleen Gill, Corrick on adding to her good fortune on winning our BBQ Bonanza draw last week. A special word of thanks to Gavin Mitchell, Mitchell Meats on sponsoring the meat hamper and to Pauric Gill for sponsoring the beer hamper.

 

Longford National League

Well done to keeper Paddy Collum, manager Padraic Davis, and the rest of the Longford team and management on securing Division 3 status for next year by virtue of their comprehensive win over Tipperary on Sunday last.

Well done to our Juvenile team and management of 2020 on winning the C Shield Final at the weekend over Shannon Gaels
