Colm Meagher RIP: We were greatly saddened to learn of the passing of former Gaels and Longford great, Colm Meagher this week in the UK. Colm was a stalwart of the club, playing at full back in the 1950s and 1960s and played both in goals and defence for the county. The club would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the Meagher family. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

Lotto: The Lotto draw was held last Monday, June 26th in The ‘98 Bar, Ballinamuck. The Jackpot was €6,600. The numbers drawn were as follows:

Junior League: Our juniors are out in ACFL Division 3 action this Sunday in Monaduff at 2:30pm against Ballymahon. Please support.

Senior Team: Our seniors have a very important league match this Friday evening at 8.30pm in Monaduff against Colmcille. Please show your support.

Senior Challenge: Our senior team had a worthwhile challenge on Sunday morning last in Monaduff against Cavan side Redhills. We ran out comfortable 3-11 to 0-10 winners in the end. We would like to thank Redhills for travelling down for the match and wish them all the best for the rest of their season. The team and scorers were as follows:

Longford Seniors: Commiserations to Paddy Collum and the Longford seniors on their gallant Qualifier defeat to Donegal on Saturday evening last in Ballybofey.
