Lotto 

The lotto draw took place in Quinn’s Bar, Drumlish on Bank Holiday Monday last, January 2nd.  The Jackpot was €10,400. Results are currently on the club’s website and social media and will be published in next week’s Leader. Thank you to all who support our lotto.

Longford 

The best of luck to club representatives Paddy Collum and Conor Keenan and the new Longford management team as they start the season this evening, Wednesday in the O’Byrne Cup against Laois in Portarlington. They also play Carlow this Saturday in Pearse Park. 

 

St. Vincent’s Christmas Quiz 

A great night was had on December 28th last in The ‘98 Bar, Ballinamuck for the annual Christmas Quiz. In 1st place winning €100 was Majella Farmer’s team, 2nd place winning €60 was Mark Connolly’s team and 3rd for €40, Emmet Noonan’s team. All winners very kindly donated their prizes back to St Vincent’s. The winners of the raffle prizes were as follows:

Thank you to all who helped out particularly Lorraine Corrigan who set the questions, Betty Creegan & Von Corrigan for doing the correcting, Seamus Gallagher for tallying, Niamh Gallagher on microphone and Mike Mulleady doing MC. Thank you to everyone who came and supported this great fundraiser and night’s entertainment for our minor club. Thank you to Enda & Mary McKenna for their hospitality in The ‘98. The presentation of club awards also took place on the night. Mike Mulleady was presented with the John Joe Brady Perpetual Trophy for Club Personality of the Year by Fr. Ber Hogan, Pauric Gill was presented with the Eamon Kerrigan Perpetual Trophy for Senior Player of the Year by Eileen Kerrigan; Paul McGee was presented with the Jimmy Tully Perpetual Trophy for U-21 Player of the Year by Mike Mulleady and Nathan Maher was presented with the Sean Brady Perpetual Trophy for Minor Player of the Year by Brona Brady. 

 

Club Membership 

Club Membership for the forthcoming year is now available. The cost is €50 for adults and 

€40 for students/OAPs. Membership is required for all playing members. Membership entitles you to attend monthly club meetings and if received before March 31st, entitles you to a vote at next year’s AGM and entry into the draw for All Ireland tickets. To pay please contact

Handball Open Day 

On Tuesday, December 27th last we held a Handball Open Day in the Community Centre in Drumlish and it was a great success. Thank you to all the players who came from various clubs to showcase their skills, including lads from Slovak Shamrocks and Paris Gaels. Thank you to our Handball Coordinator Oliver O’Sullivan for organising the event and to Mel Crowe at Drumlish Sports Hub for his continued assistance.
