Division 1/2 Promotion/Relegation Play Off

 

On Friday night last in Killoe we played Longford Slashers in the Division 1/2 Promotion/Relegation Play Off. Unfortunately we were defeated on a scoreline of 1-8 to 1-4 having lead 1-3 to 0-4 at the break. The team and scorers were as follows:

Paddy Collum (0-1, 1f), Cian Murphy, Cian Brady, Derek McCormack, Mark Hughes, Gary Connell, Emmet Noonan (1-0), Liam Lynch, Aaron Quinn, Dean Cosgrave, Darren Farley, Anthony Kane, Martin Cassidy, Pauric Gill (0-3), Cian Cassidy. Subs used: Ryan Crowe, Kevin Whelan.

This concludes activity on the pitch for 2019 and we would like to thank all the players, management, back room team, supporters and sponsors for helping this year be a successful one for the club.

 

Lotto

The Lotto draw was held last Monday, November 18th in The Mill Bar, Drumlish. The Jackpot was €18,600. Tickets are available from the usual outlets and from any member of the executive. On lotto duty this weekend are Gary Brady and David Collum. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our lotto.

 

Annual General Meeting

This year’s AGM takes place on Saturday, December 14th at 8.30pm in the clubhouse in Monaduff.

 

Annual Christmas Quiz

Our Christmas Quiz is back again this year and will take place in Cassidy’s Olde Village Inn, on Friday night, December 27th at 9pm

 

Dinner Dance

The Dinner Dance takes place on Saturday night, January 18th in Lough Rynn where the victorious Intermediate team will be presented with their championship medals. More details to follow in the coming weeks

 

Sports Capital Grant

It was announced last week that the club are to receive €23,273 from the Sports Capital Grant for our floodlighting on the training pitch. This is very welcome news for the club. Thank you to those who worked on our application

 

Hurling

Hard luck to Paddy Collum and the Clonguish club on their defeat in the Leinster Junior semi final at the weekend. Well done on a successful year.

 

Sympathy
