Scór Sinsir
Pride of place this week goes to our senior Scór competitors who performed really well in the finals in Abbeylara last Friday. Congratulations to our Figure Dancers and Recitation who won county titles and now progress to the Leinster semi-final representing Longford. The Figure Dancers are: Lorraine Corrigan, Sinéad Tobin, Pauline Duffy, Amanda Duffy, Breda Lynch, Ciara Donnelly, Aisling Donnelly and Linda Ozolina and our Recitation was won by Siobhán O’Neill Donoghue. Also competing for us on the night and who were unfortunate to miss out were our Instrumental Musicians: Cathal Culliney, Katriona Connellan and Gerry McKenna and Solo Singer: Antoinette McCormack. The Question Time team of Ciaran Cooney, Pauric Gill, Joseph Gill and Gabriel Higgins will be competing in a couple of week s time. Thank you to Lorraine Corrigan for all her hard work in organising our competitors and for organising the competition in her role as county board Irish language and Cultural Officer.
