Reserve Team: Our Senior Reserve team had their last round of the championship against Ballymahon on Sunday last in Monaduff. There was only pride at stake as we were unable to qualify for the knockout stages and unfortunately, despite a good display were unable to finish the campaign on a high. The final score was 2-17 to 2-9 in favour of Ballymahon. The team and scorers were as follows:
Jason Nertney, Cathal Howe, Anthony McKeon, James O’Neill, Darren Cawley, Declan Donnelly, Aaron McGee (0-1), Seán Whelan, Mark Hughes (0-3), Emmet Noonan (2-3, (2f)), Anthony Kane, Rúairí Carthy (0-1), Kevin Whitney, Micheál Kane, Ryan Crowe (0-1).
Substitution used: Kevin Whelan for Darren Cawley.
Longford Seniors: We wish Paddy Collum and the Longford seniors all the best as they face a difficult task in the second round of the Qualifiers away to Donegal this Saturday.

As normal, the Monster Bingo will be held on the Sunday in the ’98 Hall in aid of charity and there will also be the Old Fair Day in Ballinamuck that day. A word of thanks goes to Mark Cunningham at Cunningham Design and Planning Chartered Engineers for his work in helping us secure our licence for this year’s festival. Thank you also to O’Reilly’s Bar, Drumlish who are on board again this year as our licencing partner. Finally, a special thank you to Mike and Martin Mulleady at Mulleady Properties who are sponsoring the festival this year. Without this kind of support from the people of the community it would be impossible for us to stage our festival. Go raibh míle maith agaibh go léir.
Sponsorship: The club would like to thank Mike and Martin Mulleady at Mulleady Properties for their recent, generous sponsorship of club jackets for the executive. We would also like to thank the Davis Brothers at Green Pasture Meat Processors Ltd for their generous sponsorship of our new away kit. It is greatly appreciated.
Donation: We received a very welcome donation this week that will be of great interest to many members of our club. We have in our possession the medals won by the late, great Packie Thompson, who played with Drumlish in the 1940s, before emigrating to the UK. These medals have been very kindly donated to the club by Packie’s sons Paul and Mark and will be on display in the clubhouse in the near future. We would like to thank the Thompson family for this lovely gesture.
Gym Membership: A reminder that those wishing to use the gym in Monaduff must pay their club registration fee to Registrar Bridie Reilly, otherwise they are not covered by insurance.
New Arrival: Congratulations to senior player Liam Lynch and Breda Corrigan on the birth of their baby daughter, Róisín, at the weekend.
