Club Membership: Money for club registration is now due from all players and anyone else who wishes to become a member of Fr. Manning Gaels for 2017. Membership is €30 for adults and €15 for students. Players who do not pay their membership fee will not be covered by club insurance should injury arise. Only those who have paid membership will be eligible to represent the club in the upcoming season. Membership entitles entry in the draw for All-Ireland football and hurling tickets in August. Those who pay membership by March 31st ’17 will also be eligible to vote at next year’s AGM.

Membership to be paid to Bridie Reilly, Club Registrar (0863332863) or any member of the executive as soon as possible.

Lotto: The Lotto draw was held last Monday February 20thin the Porter House, Drumlish. The Jackpot was €4,800. The numbers drawn were as follows:

Longford Seniors: Commiserations to Paddy Collum and the Longford seniors on their narrow defeat to Armagh at the weekend. We wish the team and management the best of luck as they face Tipperary in Semple Stadium at 1pm this Sunday March 5th.

GAA Congress: Hard luck to Cashel man Martin Skelly who missed out on his bid for the presidency of the GAA at the weekend.

Playing Rules Inservice: An inservice night on the Playing Rules will take place in Glennon brothers Pearse Park on Monday, 6th March at 8pm.

This will be facilitated by Inter County Referee David Gough and is for County/Club Officers, Referees and those in charge of teams at both County and Club level (adult and underage).
A similar Inservice was ran last year and all present agreed that it was of huge benefit.

Longford U21s: Best of luck to Frank McNamee and his Longford U21 squad as they face Kildare in the first round of the Leinster championship in Newbridge tonight Wednesday.

Sympathy: The club expresses its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Margaret Flanagan (née Lennon), Castleblayney (late of Kilmahon) and Bridie Connolly (née Quinn), Aughadowry, who both passed away recently. Solas na bhFlaitheas orthu.
