Reserve League Division 1: The Gaels got the Bertie Allen Cup off to a good start with a hard fought draw away to Colmcille. Trailing 1-4 to 0-1 after 15 minutes the lads battled back to end on level terms on a scoreline of 1-8 apiece. A cracking goal from Cian Cassidy after a long direct ball from Liam Lynch with ten minutes to go was ultimately what brought us back into it and a only for a couple of missed efforts near the end we could have won the match. The team and scorers were as follows:

Aiden Gray, Cian Brady, Derek McCormack, Cian Murphy, Emmet Noonan (0-1), Mark Hughes, Aaron McGee, Seán Whelan (0-2,2f), Anthony Kane, Conor Keenan, Gary Connell, Darren Farley, Dean Cosgrave (0-1), Cian Cassidy (1-3), Brian O’Connor (0-1,1f)
