Lotto: The draw was held in O’Reilly’s Bar, Drumlish on Monday last, June 11th. The Jackpot was €11,400.  The results are currently on the club website and will be published in next week’s notes. Tickets are available from the usual outlets and from any member of the executive. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our lotto.

Summer League: Our Summer League team drew with Clonguish on Friday evening last in Monaduff on a scoreline of Fr. Manning Gaels 0-14 Clonguish 1-11. The team and scorers were as follows: Michael Heslin, Stephen Cosgrave, Mark Duffy, Gearóid Nertney, Rúairí Carthy, Dan Gorman, Brian O’Connor, Anthony Kane (0-3), Nigel Kiernan (0-4), Ciarán Cooney, Eoin Keane (0-2), Kevin Whitney (0-1), Aiden Gray (0-2), Scott Howe (0-1), Cian Cassidy

The club would like to wish speedy recoveries to both Aiden Gray and Scott Howe who both sustained injuries during the course of the match.

Reserve League Division 3 (Padraic Gerety Cup): Our Junior reserve team were comprehensively beaten by Ardagh/Moydow on Saturday evening last in Monaduff on a score line of 6-20 to 1-4. The team was as follows:

James McCann, James O’Neill, Francis Lennon, Darren Smith, Declan Donnelly, Brean Kane, Rúairí Carthy, Mark Breslin, Stephen Donnelly, Tommy McGee, Kevin Whitney, Robin O’Neill, Emmett Higgins.

Substitutions used: Anthony McKeon, Derek McKeon.

Longford: Hard luck to Paddy Collum, Pauric Gill and the rest of the Longford team and management on their defeat to Dublin in the Leinster Semi Final on Sunday last in Croke Park. The entire county is proud of your efforts. A particular word of praise is due for our own Paddy Collum who once again put in another outstanding performance and proved himself to be one of the best keepers in the country. We wish the squad the best of luck as they face into the Qualifiers. Commiserations to Aaron McGee and Niall Mulleady (selector) with the U20s on their recent defeat by Wexford.

Upcoming Fixtures: We are away to Dromard in the Summer Football League today Wednesday, June 13th at 8.15pm. On Friday, June 15th  we are away to Granard in the Bertie Allen Cup at 8.15pm.  Best of luck to our respective teams and management.

Junior Championship: The draw for the Junior Championship was made last week and we were drawn into Group 3 along with Abbeylara, Mostrim and Ardagh/Moydow. The top team qualifies for the semi-final with the second placed team entering a play off to reach the semi-final.

Schoolboy Success: Congratulations to St. Mary’s NS, Drumlish on their recent victory over Ballymahon in the Division 3B Mixed final on a scoreline of 4-12 to 0-6 in Pearse Park.

Sympathy: The club would like to extend its’ sympathies to John and Eoin Brady (Mill Bar, Drumlish) on the recent passing of their father Christy Brady (Longford Town). Solas na bhFlaitheas air.
