Summer League: Our Summer League team had a comprehensive 2-14 to 1-8 victory over Grattan Óg on Friday evening last in Dunbeggan. The team and scorers were as follows: Aiden Gray, Stephen Cosgrave, Dan Gorman, Darren Reilly, Gearóid Nertney, Mark Hughes, Nigel Kiernan (0-1), David Collum, Seán Whelan, Ryan Crowe (0-3), Anthony Kane (1-2), Eoin Keane (0-2), Cian Cassidy (0-3), Martin Cassidy (1-1), Dean Cosgrave (0-2).

The Marquee in Drumlish 2018: The official line-up and dates for this year’s Marquee in Drumlish Festival were announced during the week and once again there is a superb weekend’s entertainment in store from August 17th to 20th. On Friday we have Painted Skies, DJ Fergal D’Arcy and our own Brave Giant are back to headline the night. On Saturday night we have DJ Christy’s Country Show, Jimmy Buckley and Derek Ryan. On Sunday night there is an Ed Sheeran Tribute show, Jerry Fish, Electric Sideshow and local lads Cronin. On Monday night it is the main event – The Declan Nerney Night. We look forward to seeing you all there.

Longford Fixtures: Best of luck to Paddy Collum, Pauric Gill and the rest of the Longford team and management in the semi final of the Leinster Championship against Dublin this Sunday in Croke Park. The Longford Juniors are also in the semi final this Tuesday when they face Meath and we wish manager Frank McNamee; Emmet Noonan and Diarmuid Cooney all the best. Commiserations to U20 selector Niall Mulleady and Aaron McGee on their recent defeat by Dublin.

Upcoming Fixtures: We are away to Clonguish in the Summer Football League this Friday, June 8th at 8.15pm. On Saturday, June 9th  we are at home to Ardagh/Moydow in the Reserve League Division 3 (Padraic Gerety Cup) at 7pm. Best of luck to our respective teams and management.
