Intermediate Championship: On Saturday evening last we played St. Patrick’s, Ardagh/Moydow Harpers in the second round of the Mulleady Group Intermediate Championship in Páirc na nGael, Dromard. We were lucky to come away with a two point win in the end on a scoreline of 1-8 to 0-9. This victory means that we are now through to the semi-final with a game to spare. Well done to all involved. The team and scorers were as follows:

We wish Mickey Kelly a speedy recovery from the injury he sustained in the second half. The final round of the group stage is Sunday, August 12th, against Cashel in Emmet Park, Killoe at 1.30pm.

Lotto: The Lotto draw was held last Monday, July 23rd, in The ’98 Bar, Ballinamuck. The Jackpot was €12,000. The numbers drawn were as follows:

Junior Championship: Our Junior team are out in the first round of the Junior championship this Wednesday, August 1st,  against Abbeylara at 7.30pm in Monaduff. Best of luck to the team and management. Please come out and show your support.

Monster Bingo: The Monster Bingo in conjunction with The Marquee In Drumlish is back again this year on Sunday, August 19th at 3pm in the ’98 Memorial Hall, Ballinamuck. There is €2,500 in prize money to be won and there will also be a “Monster Raffle” on the day. All proceeds are going to the Midland Simon Community.

Marquee In Drumlish – Launch Night: The launch night for The Marquee In Drumlish is this Thursday night, August 2nd, in Quinn’s Bar, Drumlish, starting at 9pm. Refreshments on the night and entertainment is by the brilliant Gerry Keenan. We are very grateful to Cathal Quinn, who has provided the licence for this year’s festival.

The Marquee In Drumlish – August 17th – 20th It is almost time for this year’s Marquee In Drumlish festival and once again there is a superb weekend’s entertainment in store from August 17th to 20th. On Friday we have Painted Skies, DJ Fergal D’Arcy and our own Brave Giant are back to headline the night. On Saturday night we have DJ Christy’s Country Show, Jimmy Buckley and Derek Ryan. On Sunday night there is an Ed Sheeran Tribute show, Jerry Fish, Electric Sideshow and local lads Cronin. Monday night is the main event – The Declan Nerney Night, which is sure to finish off another terrific festival in style. Kelloggs’ Cúl Camps: The Cúl Camps are back in Monaduff this year from Monday August 6th  until Friday the 10th. To date over 115 children are booked in for the camp and there are still plenty of places left. Closing date for bookings is Friday August 3rd at 12 noon. Bookings can be made at https://www.kelloggsculcamps.gaa.ie/ The camp is open for children born in 2012 or earlier. The cost is €60 for the first child, €50 for the second and €40 for each child thereafter. This is tremendous value considering the expert coaching that each child will receive over the course of the week along with GAA gear and backpack.
