Senior Team: Our seniors have a very important league match this Friday evening at 8.30pm in Monaduff against Mostrim. Please show your support.

Reserve Championship: Our Reserves were knocked out of the championship on account of their 2-15 to 2-7 defeat away to Granard last Sunday afternoon. Unfortuantely two great goals by Gearóid Nertney and Scott Howe in the second half were unable to spur the team on to victory and Granard ran out comfortable winners in the end. There is one more fixture to fulfil in the group, which is at home to Ballymahon this Sunday, the 25^th at 2.30pm. The team and scorers were as follows:

Longford Seniors: Well done to Paddy Collum and the Longford seniors on their terrific Qualifier victory over Louth on Saturday evening last in Drogheda. We wish the squad all the best in their preparations for the next round.

Marquee in Drumlish: More acts were announced this week for the Marquee in Drumlish Festival (August 18^th to 21^st). Local lads Small Time Thieves (aka Top Shelf) will play the Friday night as will State Lights. Country Star Derek Ryan will headline the Saturday night.

Executive Meeting: Our monthly executive meeting takes place this Thursday evening, June 22^nd, at 9pm in Monaduff. All members of the executive are requested to attend.

Pieta House Free Kick Competition: A free kick competition will take place in Loch Gowna GAA Grounds on Saturday, July 22^nd at 10am in aid of Pieta House. There is one entry per club so if you would like to compete, or like further information, please contact Lorraine as soon as possible.

Sympathy: The club would like to express its sincere condolences to the family and friends of Gary Carey (Glasheen) and Alec Rogers (Manchester, formerly of Drumlish) who both passed away recently. Solas na bhFlaitheas orthu.

Club Lotto: There was no jackpot winner in the club lotto draw on Monday night last 11th. Mar. The numbers drawn were 1, 2, 25 and 30. Congratulations: A special word of congratulations to Jimmy Hannify who was our representative on the 1966 Longford team that won the National League. Jimmy, along with all his surviving team mates, were honoured at a special function in Longford on Friday night last. He also went on to play a major role on the 1968 Leinster championship winning side in what was a golden era for Longford football. He also played a major part on the Fr. Manning Gaels team of the mid 70’s taking the club from junior up to senior status. Well done Jimmy on an award richly deserved.

Best Wishes: Congratulations and best of luck to Paddy McKenna, Currabawn who got drawn out to appear on next week’s Winning Streak. Paddy is a loyal club supporter and his hard work at Monaduff over the years has helped keep our grounds in great condition.

Junior Team: Our Junior Team were defeated 1-16 to 0-4 by a strong Abbeylara side in the second round of the division 3 League last Sunday.

Senior Challenge Match: Our seniors played St Faithleach’s of Roscommon in a senior challenge match last Friday night in Monaduff. Both teams fielded under-strength teams with St Faithleach’s winning 0-13 to 0-9.

National Club Draw: The draw took place on Friday last but fortune deserted us on this occasion. Thanks to those who sold tickets and to those who supported the draw.
