U-21 Championship: Our U-21 team were in action in the first round of the championship last Saturday evening in Monaduff against Granard/Ballymore. We lead at the break 0-7 to 1-03. We conceeded a goal at the start of the match and playe some nice football to get ourselves back into the match. Unfortuntely two quick goals in the second half for Granard proved too much and we fell short in the end on a score line of 0-13 to 3-9. U21 Championship: The U21 championship takes place Saturday evening, October 7th at 5pm in Monaduff against Granard/Ballymore. This was due to take place last week, however as a result of a minor championship fixture clash, it was postponed. Best of luck to the team and management. Please come out and support. St. Vincent’s Success: Pride of place this week goes to our magnificent St. Vincent’s U-12 team who captured the Div. 2 title last Saturday morning against Dromard in Pearse Park. They showed great courage and determination to overcome a 0-4 to 0-0 deficit at half time and emerged victorious on a score line of 2-8 to 1-6.
